I have been having mixed thoughts on what to post to introduce this blog. This task has been hold off for weeks already.

Let me start by how I fell inlove with the internet business.

Over a year ago I came across Odesk.com from a local forum and have read a lot of raves about how they are working from home yet earning more than what they used to in an office setting. I never thought it’ll be possible.

I was then working at a hospital when I signed up at Odesk. I took the Odesk Readiness Test and failed. Yes, I failed. I was so caught up with starting right away that I didn’t even bothered to read about Odesk and its features. After which, I checked out everything else at Odesk. I read the steps, browsed available jobs, viewed other provider’s profile and then took the test again when I thought I was ready. I passed and I took more tests and passed and passed again. I then immediately applied in job posts and surprisingly I was interviewed the next day, and started working the day after.

I was juggling my time in the hospital with my online work. When pay day came, I was shocked that I got my one month’s worth of work from the hospital by working for only 20 hours online! Wow!

So I did what every impulsive person would do, I resigned from my day job after a month of continuous work online. Crazy eh? Up to this date that has been the best impulsive decision I have ever made.

And now I love what I do, earn 10x as much as I was earning a year ago, I have started my own Provider Company, manage a team of Virtual Assistants, I get referrals and repeat clients, plan to open an office soon, meet a lot of people from almost everywhere in the world, and I get to spend lots of time with my family. Who wouldn’t agree that was a success story?

How about you, what’s your Odesk Success Story?
